WHO WE ARE
EXECUTIVE TEAM

At Springs Construction, our team is made up of experienced, dedicated home construction and design professionals. From our Redwood City, CA office, we help people from San Jose to San Francisco and throughout the Peninsula turn their dreams into reality. From new home construction to renovations and remodeling projects to home restoration services after fire, flood or other natural disasters, the Springs Construction team has the experience and experience and expertise to design your dream living space.
Jim Adkins, President
Jim Adkins is the next (third) generation home builder at Springs Construction. When he started with the company, the first tool he was given by his grandfather was a broom. After he mastered the broom, he became a journeyman carpenter and learned home building from the ground up.

Now, after thirty years, and building over 400,000 square feet of custom homes in his construction career, his specialty is the modern home that requires each building phase to be exactly perfect so the next element falls into place. This precision crafting shows just as well in the historical home where unpainted wood finishes tell the builder's story. At Springs Construction his role is President. You'll see him on your construction project regularly.

By the way, if he's not on your job site and it's after hours, look for him at a local race car track.

Mel Springs, CFO
Mel is the second generation home builder here at Springs Construction. A true master craftsman, he has an innate design sense to visualize a space, or even the terrain, and know just how going to be built. At Springs Construction, he's the principal builder and is ultimately involved in all aspects of our clients' home-building projects.
He has the ability to see the home's space from the little blue lines and knows exactly how the building's structure goes together, with or without the details on the page. When he says he's done that before, don't be concerned! Instead, be confident that, with four decades of construction experience, comes a great deal of knowledge which Mel blends with today's new construction to build you a house to last for the rest of your life.
When he's not building houses he's fishing. Ask him about the Salmon Project at the Rhomberg Institute.
